00:00:24.812 --> 00:00:26.885 So welcome, alicia.
00:00:26.885 --> 00:00:29.211 Thanks, jackie, I'm happy to be here.
00:00:29.211 --> 00:00:31.004 So welcome, welcome.
00:00:31.004 --> 00:00:32.670 And did I say that right, is it Alicia?
00:00:32.670 --> 00:00:33.963 Alicia?
00:00:34.042 --> 00:00:35.067 rhymes with Patricia.
00:00:35.661 --> 00:00:37.929 Alicia rhymes with Patricia Awesome.
00:00:37.929 --> 00:00:40.045 And if my flinging is watching.
00:00:40.206 --> 00:00:42.332 do not tell me it's spelled wrong, that's all.
00:00:43.375 --> 00:00:44.097 Fantastic.
00:00:44.097 --> 00:00:46.386 I should be able to remember that my mom's name is Patricia.
00:00:46.386 --> 00:00:47.604 Anyway, welcome.
00:00:47.604 --> 00:00:49.447 We're super, super excited to have you.
00:00:49.447 --> 00:00:59.131 And let's just, why don't you tell me a little bit about yourself, how you got to be where you are, and tell us about bio lab and where they are in the industry?
00:00:59.993 --> 00:01:00.213 Sure.
00:01:00.213 --> 00:01:04.051 So I am the director of training for bio lab.
00:01:04.051 --> 00:01:05.500 I've been with bio lab.
00:01:05.500 --> 00:01:08.709 I'm just now working on my 24th year.
00:01:08.709 --> 00:01:13.926 I came out of school and took a temporary job actually a summer job with bio lab answering the phones.
00:01:13.926 --> 00:01:23.700 Anybody's ever called into their tech support helpline to say I don't know how to use this product or my pool's green and I don't know what to do, and you get one of those people out to where I started, actually with bio lab.
00:01:23.700 --> 00:01:28.459 It was supposed to be a three month gig and 24 years later, here I am.
00:01:28.459 --> 00:01:35.292 I always I was coming out of grad school and didn't know what I wanted to do with my life, so I was buying myself some time.
00:01:35.292 --> 00:01:38.626 And you know how the industry is you get in and you don't get back out.
00:01:38.826 --> 00:01:42.376 So Exactly Once you're in, that's for sure, yeah.
00:01:43.322 --> 00:01:45.105 So I've worked through a couple of different.
00:01:45.105 --> 00:01:51.795 I started there and I did some time in R and D and some product development work and I've bounced around a little bit.
00:01:51.795 --> 00:01:56.840 But in all of that I figured out very quickly that I have a passion for training and education.
00:01:56.840 --> 00:02:05.334 So I was lucky enough to be given some opportunities by a couple of people that have helped shape my career and I was able to develop that and here I am.
00:02:05.334 --> 00:02:07.659 So now that's what I do all day, every day.
00:02:08.346 --> 00:02:10.060 And you do it very well, thank you.
00:02:10.060 --> 00:02:25.611 I've been in the industry for a very long time, myself and I and if any of you guys have read my book or any of that stuff, you guys all know that I'm constantly spa guard, spa guard, and the reason for that is the quality of the chemicals and, more importantly, it's the education that you guys supply.
00:02:25.611 --> 00:02:31.080 I've been a hundred percent, I would say I'm a bio guard educated girl.
00:02:31.080 --> 00:02:43.451 I've learned everything that I've learned from you guys, from calling the tech support, from the training seminars that you've got on, and there's a reason that I am big into spa guard.
00:02:43.451 --> 00:02:45.383 You let's talk a little bit.
00:02:45.383 --> 00:02:48.632 You know why should someone use spa guard chemicals?
00:02:49.561 --> 00:02:52.031 First and foremost, biolab has.
00:02:52.031 --> 00:03:13.038 We play in a lot of different sandboxes as a company, but bio guard and spa guard are our premium lines and the one of the biggest focuses that we have for those lines is education, and that's educating our dealers, educating the people to sell the products and, by default, educating customers, whether it be through our website.
00:03:13.038 --> 00:03:23.134 You can get a ton of information from spa guardcom, but also just from the experience of them going into a spa guard dealer and saying hey, I have a question about my hot tub.
00:03:23.134 --> 00:03:25.007 I have a brand new hot tub.
00:03:25.007 --> 00:03:31.039 I broke my hot tub, whatever it is, and that dealer being well trained, well educated and able to help them.
00:03:31.280 --> 00:03:36.173 So our focus has always been that the consumer shouldn't have to figure it all out.
00:03:36.173 --> 00:03:39.460 We'll do the hard work and you just come in and let us guide you.
00:03:39.460 --> 00:03:41.780 So that's always been a focus of ours.
00:03:41.780 --> 00:03:47.573 And then we pair that with quality, top of the line chemicals that do what they say they're going to do.
00:03:47.573 --> 00:03:56.539 They're well made, they're well packaged, they're easy to use, easy to apply and it leaves a hot tub owner hopefully with no questions at the end of it.
00:03:56.721 --> 00:04:01.080 And that's that's our goal is we don't want you to have any questions left, because we've answered them all.
00:04:01.080 --> 00:04:02.451 We don't mind the questions.
00:04:02.451 --> 00:04:12.360 Feel free to ask them, but at the end, when you're standing by your hot tub putting our Sponyard chemicals in, we don't want you to have questions because we want you to be very confident in what you're doing.
00:04:12.360 --> 00:04:17.980 So the education paired with just really good quality products and packaging and instructions.
00:04:17.980 --> 00:04:22.939 And we have top of the line water testing and our Alex software to back all of that up.
00:04:22.939 --> 00:04:29.399 So we know what's going on in your water and we know what to do to fix that or keep it where it's supposed to be.
00:04:29.399 --> 00:04:30.519 And that's our focus.
00:04:31.543 --> 00:04:31.845 And it's.
00:04:31.845 --> 00:04:35.519 I would not be wearing that today if it wasn't for Spogart and Biolab.
00:04:35.519 --> 00:04:40.240 And you talked about Alex a little bit, and Alex is the software.
00:04:40.240 --> 00:04:49.339 For those of you that don't know, it's a software that actually tests your water, gives you perfect recommendations for your water.
00:04:49.339 --> 00:04:54.459 Tell us a little bit more about Alex and why it's such an important piece of the puzzle for you guys.
00:04:56.125 --> 00:05:01.180 Sure, alex is the backbone of our Biogarden, spogart brands and it's a software piece.
00:05:01.180 --> 00:05:06.023 So when we say, test your water, you can test your water in a number of different ways.
00:05:06.023 --> 00:05:12.031 Right, we offer smart labs through our brands in order to we spin the disc and those readings will feed right into the software.
00:05:12.031 --> 00:05:20.315 But ultimately, if you're using Alex, you can use it in the field, you can use it anywhere, you can hand input your readings.
00:05:20.315 --> 00:05:21.240 If it doesn't talk to Alex, whatever.
00:05:21.240 --> 00:05:25.858 So the testing is something that, while we offer options, you can test your water in a lot of different ways.
00:05:28.370 --> 00:05:38.019 But what Alex does is it takes those readings, those parameters, and it does a overall analysis of what's going on in that water, takes into account everything that, all the information that you input.
00:05:40.427 --> 00:05:57.620 So it takes into account temperature and readings and time of year and all the stuff that it gathers, and then it gives you a prescription and that's the way we describe it a prescription for what to do to solve any problems that you might have or to just keep maintaining your hot tub or pool if you have one where it's supposed to be.
00:05:57.620 --> 00:06:04.180 So we always say it'll give you the right product and the right amount at the right time, and that's our goal with Alex is that's what it does.
00:06:04.180 --> 00:06:18.697 So we take all these confusing numbers that don't always mean anything to someone and we turn that into a piece of paper that says put this product in now, wait 15 minutes, put this much of this product.
00:06:18.697 --> 00:06:19.500 And we just give a step by step process.
00:06:19.500 --> 00:06:29.365 So again, when you're standing by your hot tub putting it in, you know exactly what to do, how long to wait before you do the next step, how much you're adding and what to expect from that, and it's you can't go wrong.
00:06:29.365 --> 00:06:32.579 This is what I always tell my customers when they come in.
00:06:34.591 --> 00:06:36.139 If you follow this piece of paper, you cannot mess it up.
00:06:39.875 --> 00:06:46.060 And the cool thing about Alex is it does things in an order, right, but it's constantly recalculating from what it told you to do first.
00:06:46.060 --> 00:07:04.437 So if it tells you balance your alkalinity first, so you do that and it's going to say, okay, you balance your alkalinity, but in the process we know you put in this much product that's going to impact your pH, so then it will adjust what it would tell you to do to your pH based on what would have happened from your alkalinity.
00:07:04.437 --> 00:07:17.500 So if you put your alkalinity in and somehow you raise your pH 0.2 parts per million Alex knows that, so it's not going to have you adjust too far in any direction, because it knows what the other chemicals that it's calling for are going to do to the water balance.
00:07:17.500 --> 00:07:21.156 So when you do it in order, it's constantly compensating for what came before it.
00:07:21.156 --> 00:07:26.499 So ultimately you get balanced at the end of it.
00:07:26.499 --> 00:07:29.935 Pardon me, I'm dealing with a little bit of a cold, so I apologize if my voice cracked a little.
00:07:31.505 --> 00:07:32.992 You're doing absolutely fantastic and I get it.
00:07:32.992 --> 00:07:35.526 Been there, done that, but what I would?
00:07:35.526 --> 00:07:46.040 So my customers that are out here, my followers that are out here listening to the podcast, and they've never been into a Spogart or a Biogart dealer when should they go?
00:07:46.040 --> 00:07:50.074 How do you find this Alex technology?
00:07:50.074 --> 00:07:51.057 How does someone who's never been in?
00:07:51.057 --> 00:07:51.579 What do they need to do?
00:07:54.387 --> 00:08:03.266 So you can go to Spogartcom or Biogartcom either one and there is an option to I think it's at the bottom of the page.
00:08:03.266 --> 00:08:10.291 You can click located dealer and you simply put in your zip code and it's going to give you the dealers that are within.
00:08:10.291 --> 00:08:26.416 You can set the radius five miles, 10 miles, your jacket, your South Dakota you might want to set your parameter a little bit bigger when you're part of the country but you put in your zip code and it will bring up any Biogart, spogart dealers that are close to you and then you can just pick and choose.
00:08:26.416 --> 00:08:41.090 If they're on that dealer locator, then they are what we consider platinum dealers, which means they would have our Alex software, they would be carrying Spogart chemicals and they would be able to help you and yeah, and that's honestly any of you.
00:08:41.250 --> 00:08:56.442 I get a ton of questions from all of you and I would 100% encourage you to find a someone who has the water testing and specifically the Alex water testing there's nothing better out there.
00:08:56.442 --> 00:08:58.107 I will always have that lab.
00:08:58.107 --> 00:09:00.284 Wherever I'm working, that's going to be the case.
00:09:01.068 --> 00:09:03.359 I tell people when they're like, is it really that valuable?
00:09:03.359 --> 00:09:09.282 I say it's like going to the doctor and they draw blood periodically to make sure everything's okay and you're bought.
00:09:09.282 --> 00:09:10.486 It's the same concept.
00:09:10.486 --> 00:09:17.190 You run the blood through a machine and it spits out all these numbers and then the doctor tells you what you need to do with those readings.
00:09:17.190 --> 00:09:19.004 And that's Alex is the doctor.
00:09:19.004 --> 00:09:21.918 It takes all those numbers and it spits out what you need to do.
00:09:22.058 --> 00:09:23.245 Yeah, and it does really well.
00:09:28.245 --> 00:09:30.350 But we'll keep going and I'm sure I'm going to bring it up again.
00:09:30.350 --> 00:09:34.427 But I am a big Spogart Bioguard girl.
00:09:34.427 --> 00:09:42.610 I've done many videos about how important I think that using that quality chemical makes a difference and you should definitely do that.
00:09:42.610 --> 00:09:44.647 But let's you know for the people that are listening.
00:09:44.647 --> 00:09:46.956 Let's just start with the basics.
00:09:46.956 --> 00:09:49.120 Why is it important to balance your water?
00:09:49.120 --> 00:09:50.881 Why is that where we always have people start?
00:09:51.942 --> 00:09:59.115 Balance is important for I'd say two, maybe three main reasons, depending on how you want to look at it.
00:09:59.115 --> 00:10:04.096 First and foremost, balance is key to comfort, right?
00:10:04.096 --> 00:10:16.296 And so when you have a hot tub or a pool and there's a lot of things about hot tubs and pools that are interchangeable and there's a lot of things that aren't but comfort of the people that are using that water should be top of mind for you, right?
00:10:16.296 --> 00:10:30.414 You're hanging out in the water, you're soaking in it in a hot tub, you're spending an extended period of time in there, and when your water isn't balanced, that's when your skin gets itchy and your eyes burn and you cough when you get in the water, and things along those lines.
00:10:30.414 --> 00:10:33.715 So balance, specifically pH, is a huge element of that.
00:10:33.715 --> 00:10:41.089 We can talk about that, but balancing is a huge element to who's using your water and how comfortable are they.
00:10:41.089 --> 00:10:46.876 On top of that, you invest a lot of money into hot tubs specifically.
00:10:46.876 --> 00:10:51.135 Right, they're not a $20 purchase at the Dollar General down the street.
00:10:51.135 --> 00:10:58.534 You're investing multiple thousands of dollars in something, and when you do that, you want that to last as long as humanly possible.
00:10:58.534 --> 00:11:29.631 And one of the hardest things for people to understand is that if you ignore your water balance, it may look fine, it may feel fine, but if you're ignoring the fact that your pH is too high or too low, or your alkalinity is out of balance or your calcium is not right or whatever that is, then you're damaging that equipment that creates the inner workings of this volume, might be damaging the shell, and you've invested all this money in something you want to last but you're not doing what it takes to take care of it.
00:11:29.631 --> 00:11:31.892 You wouldn't do that to a car, right?
00:11:31.892 --> 00:11:34.832 You buy a car, you put the maintenance in to keep it running.
00:11:34.832 --> 00:11:51.610 You buy a hot tub, you want to put the work in to keep it going, and that's a huge part of what water balance does, because if it's not balanced, then that's when heaters stop working and leaks start happening and filters start clogging up and surfaces get damaged, and nobody wants that right.
00:11:51.610 --> 00:11:53.230 They want that investment to last.
00:11:54.125 --> 00:11:55.649 I think the final piece of water balance is.
00:11:55.649 --> 00:12:01.793 Our first and foremost concern with any body of water is safety right.
00:12:01.793 --> 00:12:04.474 We want swimmers to be protected from disease.
00:12:04.474 --> 00:12:13.493 We don't want anybody getting sick from being in the water, so we want to make sure that when they get in the water there's not things growing in there, there's not bacteria that's going to cause illness, et cetera.
00:12:13.493 --> 00:12:23.547 And balancing the water is a vital piece to making sure that your sanitizer right, which is it's a number one most important job is to kill bacteria and keep people from getting sick.
00:12:23.547 --> 00:12:30.113 We want that sanitizer always there and always working, and water balance can have a huge impact on how well it works.
00:12:30.113 --> 00:12:31.176 How much you use.
00:12:31.176 --> 00:12:39.134 You're going to use a lot more sanitizer if your water's not balanced properly, which means you're more likely to run out, which means you're more likely to have a problem.
00:12:39.134 --> 00:12:47.392 Those three things comfort, equipment, longevity, and then just safety and sanitization those are the important reasons why we balance water.
00:12:48.245 --> 00:13:06.756 And I think with the last one that you touched on a little bit, and this is one people just don't understand If your pH in alkalinity are not in line, your sanitizers they can take up to three times the amount of sanitizer that you need to actually properly sanitize that hot tub.
00:13:06.756 --> 00:13:11.316 So it's a huge money saver to start with your alkalinity and your pH.
00:13:11.316 --> 00:13:13.291 That's a huge factor in that.
00:13:13.985 --> 00:13:18.461 And one of the keys that people don't realize is it's very misleading.
00:13:18.461 --> 00:13:36.755 When you test a hot tub and your pH should be seven, four to seven, six that's ideal for hot tub chemistry and when you start to crawl upward which in hot tubs, ph usually goes high, that's a product of hot water and aeration and just the way the chemistry of hot tubs work.
00:13:36.755 --> 00:13:47.190 So for all of you that have hot tubs and you wonder why you're constantly battling high pH and bringing it back down, that is just the nature of hot water chemistry and the nature of hot tubs.
00:13:47.190 --> 00:13:50.595 It's very rare that you have to raise pH in a hot tub.
00:13:50.595 --> 00:13:52.873 It is not rare that you have to bring it down.
00:13:52.873 --> 00:14:00.274 But if you're not doing that and you're ignoring that and your pH is climbing, your chlorine I'll just use chlorine for an example just gets less and less active.
00:14:00.274 --> 00:14:07.352 It's still there and you still test for it, but at a pH of 7.5, which is completely ideal.
00:14:07.352 --> 00:14:09.418 That's the best pH you can possibly have.
00:14:09.725 --> 00:14:11.773 The pH of the human eye is 7.5.
00:14:11.773 --> 00:14:14.865 So if you're in water, you get the water in your eyes.
00:14:14.865 --> 00:14:20.292 If you're in a swimming pool, you're swimming around with your eyes open and you pick your head up and your eyes are all bloodshot and red.
00:14:20.292 --> 00:14:22.107 Most people what do they blame that on?
00:14:22.107 --> 00:14:23.971 Sanitizer Too much chlorine.
00:14:23.971 --> 00:14:24.874 You're retaining the ice.
00:14:24.874 --> 00:14:26.216 It's never the chlorine.
00:14:26.216 --> 00:14:28.633 It's 99.9 times out of 100.
00:14:28.825 --> 00:14:30.971 It's a pH problem that causes that.
00:14:30.971 --> 00:14:40.110 But in hot water, as it climbs and climbs, your sanitizer will go from 50% active, which is actually ideal.
00:14:40.110 --> 00:14:44.654 That's half of your sanitizer working and half of it's getting ready to go to work.
00:14:44.654 --> 00:14:45.927 That's a good balance.
00:14:45.927 --> 00:14:53.717 But as that pH climbs we get up to the point where, at a pH of 8.4, you're about 9% active.
00:14:53.717 --> 00:15:00.490 So now you've got 9% of your chlorine working and 91% of it not working, and that's not effective.
00:15:00.490 --> 00:15:04.576 You're not effectively taking care of your spot at that point.
00:15:04.576 --> 00:15:07.333 So you'd have to add more and more to get enough active chlorine.
00:15:07.333 --> 00:15:16.254 But if you'd simply bring your pH down, you would activate more of what's there and it would be a much more efficient way to sanitize the water.
00:15:16.794 --> 00:15:17.155 For sure.
00:15:17.155 --> 00:15:19.932 And thank you for explaining it like that.
00:15:19.932 --> 00:15:23.293 That's a huge help that I think people are going to understand.
00:15:23.293 --> 00:15:26.951 I'm going to pop on here just so you know Mary stopped and stopped in.
00:15:26.951 --> 00:15:27.953 She's loved these two ladies.
00:15:27.953 --> 00:15:29.738 Great information, Thank you for sharing.
00:15:29.965 --> 00:15:30.466 Thanks, mary.
00:15:31.465 --> 00:15:32.370 We love Mary.
00:15:32.370 --> 00:15:34.130 She is absolutely fantastic.
00:15:34.130 --> 00:15:42.494 So thanks for that, mary, and Mary knows her stuff as well, so she may pop on here with a good question for us, let's.
00:15:42.494 --> 00:15:44.610 I'm really excited about this.
00:15:44.610 --> 00:15:46.672 I'm going to wait till later, but I'm going to bring it on.
00:15:46.672 --> 00:15:51.616 You told me about some cool stuff that you guys are going to be introducing.
00:15:51.616 --> 00:15:53.009 Can we talk about that a little bit?
00:15:53.009 --> 00:15:53.770 Sure?
00:15:53.971 --> 00:15:59.336 And you're, besides our sales staff, going out and starting to talk about it specifically to our dealers.
00:15:59.336 --> 00:16:03.775 This is the first time we've talked about it publicly News Working news, yeah.
00:16:03.775 --> 00:16:11.491 So Spogart has some new technology coming out and we're focused on ease of use and again, we don't want you to have questions.
00:16:11.491 --> 00:16:14.693 We want you to understand what you're doing and how much to put in, et cetera.
00:16:14.693 --> 00:16:24.509 So we are introducing this fall what we call our rapid dissolve technology and we are going to introduce we're pretty excited too.
00:16:24.509 --> 00:16:26.451 This is really cool technology.
00:16:26.451 --> 00:16:34.638 We've been working on it for a while in our labs and that's one cool thing about Biogart and Spogart is that we have labs in our own buildings.
00:16:34.638 --> 00:16:42.576 We have our own chemists, we have our own formulations, people, and it's really cool to be able to walk upstairs and say, hey, let's try this.
00:16:42.576 --> 00:16:47.304 And they're the nerdy, white coated chemists which I love in the death.
00:16:47.304 --> 00:16:51.211 I can call them nerds because I'm a nerd, but they're up there working on things like this.
00:16:51.211 --> 00:16:56.220 But our rapid dissolve technology is specifically for our Spogart line.
00:16:56.220 --> 00:16:57.705 Like I said, we're going to have five products.
00:16:57.705 --> 00:17:04.590 We're going to have a chlorine product, we're going to have a shock product, we'll have an alkalinity adjuster.
00:17:04.590 --> 00:17:11.912 We'll have a pH reducer, specifically because hot water chemistry is usually high, and we're going to have a stainless scale control product.
00:17:11.912 --> 00:17:16.015 All of these are elements that you're going to use on a regular basis in a spa.
00:17:16.704 --> 00:17:20.414 But each one of these comes in just a small dissolvable tab.
00:17:20.414 --> 00:17:21.848 You toss it in the filter.
00:17:21.848 --> 00:17:24.192 It dissolves within about five minutes.
00:17:24.192 --> 00:17:29.967 You can see it working as it starts to dissolve, it fizzes up a little bit and shows you that it's dissolving Within five minutes.
00:17:29.967 --> 00:17:32.648 It's in, it's done, and the dosing was so simple.
00:17:32.648 --> 00:17:34.213 You need one tab.
00:17:34.213 --> 00:17:39.176 Perhaps you need two tabs, based on your reading and the size of your hot tub, but no more.
00:17:39.176 --> 00:17:40.500 Where's the teaspoon?
00:17:40.500 --> 00:17:42.913 I'm going to guess how much I'm going to shake out of the bottle.
00:17:42.913 --> 00:17:46.509 How much does this cap hold, all of that sort of stuff?
00:17:46.509 --> 00:17:50.560 So it's just really simple, easy to use and these are tablets.
00:17:50.641 --> 00:17:55.574 They're not in plastic, they don't have to be unwrapped, there's no waste associated with them.
00:17:55.574 --> 00:18:01.292 You're just going to drop it directly into the filter and, honestly, you could put it in the foot well, if you wanted to.
00:18:01.292 --> 00:18:02.810 It's not going to hurt your surface at all.
00:18:02.810 --> 00:18:06.113 We just say, for ease of use, toss it in the filter and let it go.
00:18:06.113 --> 00:18:07.596 But yeah, so we have our corn.
00:18:07.596 --> 00:18:12.244 We're going to have a coring tab, so that would be the equivalent to adding a granular coring.
00:18:12.244 --> 00:18:16.292 Now you brought it out Instead of needing a floater or a cornate or anything.
00:18:16.292 --> 00:18:18.634 You just toss the tab in and it dissolves.
00:18:19.105 --> 00:18:20.790 It's not going to affect your CYA at all.
00:18:22.644 --> 00:18:24.692 It will have a little bit of cyanary acid in it.
00:18:24.692 --> 00:18:25.929 That's part of the blend.
00:18:25.929 --> 00:18:29.994 But when you're using chlorine in a spa, we're not worried about that at all.
00:18:29.994 --> 00:18:32.088 So you will have.
00:18:32.088 --> 00:18:36.811 It is a dichloric based product and then the shock is a monoprosulfate.
00:18:36.811 --> 00:18:38.830 So you're going to go with a non-chlorine shock.
00:18:38.984 --> 00:18:41.473 You can toss it in a great way to shock a hot tub.
00:18:41.473 --> 00:18:44.967 Monoprosulfate is one of the best ways to shock a hot tub, very effective.
00:18:44.967 --> 00:18:47.511 And then again we have our PhD creaser.
00:18:47.511 --> 00:18:58.336 We have alkalinity increase because in spa or hot tubs hot water chemistry they tend to go in opposite directions and that's another element of hot water and having a cover on a lot.
00:18:58.336 --> 00:18:59.491 That's what drives that.
00:18:59.491 --> 00:19:03.756 And then we have our stainless scale control product to protect the surface and the equipment.
00:19:03.756 --> 00:19:11.730 A pretty full line of balancers with some chlorine and shock thrown in there and just super easy to add and just a tip that you can throw in.
00:19:11.730 --> 00:19:18.273 I'm so excited you can pour the bottle and toss it in and you're done no cups, no teaspoons, no caps needed.
00:19:18.273 --> 00:19:19.549 You just toss it in and go.
00:19:19.549 --> 00:19:22.071 So we're very excited for the technology.
00:19:23.626 --> 00:19:24.815 So I'm excited for it as well.
00:19:24.815 --> 00:19:26.305 How about my saltwater customers?
00:19:26.305 --> 00:19:27.809 Are they going to be able to use this product?
00:19:28.532 --> 00:19:33.570 Sure, it's all based on chlorine, so it's all chlorine compatible.
00:19:33.570 --> 00:19:41.955 And what you have to remember about salt, whether it's pools, spa or whatever salt pools, salt spas, are still chlorine sanitized pools and spas.
00:19:41.955 --> 00:19:46.672 So anything compatible with chlorine would be compatible salt and all of these are built for that.
00:19:46.672 --> 00:20:00.193 So with salt, that pH reducer tab becomes even more important, because not only is hot water driving your pH up, salt water chemistry also drives your pH up and that's just an element of how you create sanitizer from salt.
00:20:00.193 --> 00:20:02.568 So the pH decrease.
00:20:02.568 --> 00:20:06.958 Your tabs become even more important, for example, in those systems.
00:20:06.958 --> 00:20:09.451 But yes, all of these would be compatible with a salt spa.
00:20:10.785 --> 00:20:13.473 But the big word anymore is phosphates.
00:20:13.473 --> 00:20:15.090 How is this going to affect phosphates?
00:20:15.090 --> 00:20:16.248 Just out of curiosity.
00:20:16.984 --> 00:20:37.422 So, with phosphates, the only thing that we really end up having a conversation about, as far as some of the things that we put in, is when you talk about stain and scale control products and I'm glad you're bringing it up, because it can be a bit of a confusing subject when you talk about because the phosphates in water, they cause issues.
00:20:37.422 --> 00:20:39.170 They cause water quality problems.
00:20:39.170 --> 00:20:43.695 They're definitely something that we want to keep control of and reduce as much as possible.
00:20:43.695 --> 00:20:54.575 When you put in a good, solid, the best working stain and scale control product, unfortunately, the best working one that we have is a phosphate based product.
00:20:54.575 --> 00:20:57.413 So if you really want to, it is the best.
00:20:57.413 --> 00:20:58.690 Yeah, it's, it is the best.
00:20:58.690 --> 00:21:08.455 So if you really want to protect your surfaces and protect against scale and staining, then that that phosphate based product is the very best at doing that.
00:21:08.625 --> 00:21:10.271 So people are like what do I do?
00:21:10.271 --> 00:21:16.112 You're telling me to do two things that are at opposite with each other, and this is the best advice I can give.
00:21:16.112 --> 00:21:20.095 And if you've ever heard me teach, if anybody's ever heard me teach, I teach an analogy.
00:21:20.095 --> 00:21:20.855 It's all day long.
00:21:20.855 --> 00:21:22.115 That's, that's what I talk about.
